At Dr. Serena Elhard’s practice, her mission is redefine chiropractic care by combining simplicity with cutting-edge individualized evaluation and treatment. She is committed to providing innovative, patient-centered solutions that offer new hope for those suffering from chronic concerns while efficiently addressing acute pain and everyday tension. Her goal is to restore movement, enhance function, and empower individuals of all ages to perform at their best—whether in daily life or athletic pursuits. Beyond musculoskeletal care, she believes in offering functional nutritional medicine to uncover and address the deeper health factors contributing to body inflammation, chronic disease, and diminished well-being. Her care is integrated with other providers and offers a comprehensive care to healing, striving to help every patient move better, feel better, and live better.
Since starting her practice in 2001, Dr. Serena Elhard has integrated functional nutritional medicine to address detoxification, gut health, cognitive function, mood, immune issues, and fatigue. With a B.S. in Zoology (1998) and a Doctorate in Chiropractic (2001), early in her career she pursued advanced training in clinical nutrition, accumulating over 1000 hours in areas such as hormone balance, detoxification, gut and brain health, and immunology.
Dr. Elhard’s education includes certifications in Advanced Functional Blood Chemistry, Functional Endocrinology, and Neuro-Endocrine Immunology addressing gut conditions, mood and memory disorders, hormones, liver function, and immunological testing. She has trained extensively in botanical medicine, advanced laboratory testing, and kinesiology, incorporating techniques like muscle testing and Brimhall® Health Scans to create personalized care plans.
For over 15 years, Dr. Elhard has delivered corporate health talks, including a decade-long collaboration with a Denver corporation, where she provided lab-based health reviews. Additionally, she spent 16 years in a primary care medical clinic, empowering patients with nutritional strategies tailored to their lab results. Dr. Elhard’s approach combines science, natural medicine, and personalized care to help patients achieve optimal health and wellness.
‘Quality of life’ Vs ‘Quantity of life’.
Dr. Serena Elhard envisions a future where more individuals recognize the value of functional chiropractic care incorporating a proper functional analysis and treatment that not only includes chiropractic spinal manipulation but goes beyond to also address dysfunctions in the extremities, targeted corrected exercises and muscle therapies that change body movement beyond relaxation and pain-care. She sees this as a more advanced and proactive approach to a future with an increased ‘quality of life’- versus just ‘quantity of life’.
Part of that approach is the repeated emphasis in evaluating foot function, shoe wear, shoe insert education and gait to add to a person’s stability and movement which compliments total body movement, injury prevention and maintaining independence for individuals such as seniors.
All too often she has seen individuals seeking care only when they are in pain and with each passing year she has observed the deterioration in their movement and they are not even aware of the small changes that she is so attuned to. Having worked in senior living and hospital settings in her earlier years, Dr. Elhard knows that the most important cause of individuals losing their independence is losing their mobility and ability to function. She knows the cost burdens emotionally and financially and believes in providing this insight to her patients and sharing her enthusiasm about the improvements she sees possible for those patients which they have appreciated – as most never knew what would be possible for their body with a little more regular functional chiropractic care.

The Wellness Center (located near Colorado Boulevard & 1-25 in Denver) allows more time for chiropractic visits. It does not accept insurance (with the exception of billing Medicare and for auto injuries). A claim form can be requested to submit for out-of-network insurance.
