We accept the billing of your Medical Payments associated with auto insurance at both locations. Claims will be submitted directly to your insurance so you do not need to. If you choose to submit to your insurance you will pay the Flat Rate Time Charge (also known as self-pay or direct pay pricing) which is due at the time of service. The auto insurance fee schedule is different from our flat rates based on Colorado Work Comp fee schedule rates so please reach out with any questions.
To schedule a chiropractic appointment please call the location of your choice. Advice that you were in a car accident so you can be scheduled appropriately and be provided special forms.
We all know that emergencies can happen and I am here to help! However, I am asking that you, please be kind, and provide at least 48 hours notice for all cancelled appointments. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours are in most cases not filled. By providing an earlier notice I can accommodate other appointments as soon as possible. For functional nutritional medicine visits, in particular, I assure you that my preparation for your visit will start well before 24 hours in advance.
Remember – “In-person” appointments for nutrition can be turned into a phone appointment if needed.
The Wellness Center, Glendale, CO (https://www.wellnessdenver.com/2023/11/06/cancellation-policy-changing-dec-2023/) has a strict 4 hour cancellation policy and full visit charges for late cancellations or no shows are strictly enforced even for inclement weather. Exceptions can be made for illnesses unless it is a frequent pattern.
Clinix Center for Health, Centennial, CO (https://clinixusa.com/policies/) has a policy that is enforced when cancellations or no-shows are generally a frequent pattern. To cancel you must contact the office directly. Please be kind and aware that cancellations the night cannot be filled and that our online scheduling will not reflect these openings on such short notice.
Privately Scheduled Appointments for Nutrition:
Functional Nutrition Medicine Visits must be prepaid at least several days before the appointment to maintain the appointment. If cancellations occur within 48 hours, 50% of the amount pre-paid will be kept and 50% will be returned. For cancellations with less than a 24 hour notice or for no shows 100% of the amount prepaid. However, these fees are waived if your visit is rescheduled within two business days.
The two locations offer billing for Medicare if it is your primary insurance.
At Clinix Center for Health Dr. Elhard accepts Medicare as a “Participating” Physician. This means we do not collect from you payment for spinal adjustment. We send your billing in for you and we receive payment.
At The Wellness Center Dr. Elhard accepts Medicare as a “Non-Participating Physician.” You are responsible for paying the full amount of your spinal adjustment charge at the time of service. Dr. Elhard will send in your Medicare billing for you. Medicare will reimburse you a percentage directly depending on your deductible and coinsurance percentage.
Dr. Elhard’s visits include more than just spinal manipulation. Many individuals see Dr. Elhard for non-covered services such as feet and knee problems such as plantar fasciitis or knee arthritis or shoulder tendonitis or rotator cuff problems which are not covered by Medicare. She also routinely adds manual therapy, exercise recommendations, gait and balance instruction, and/or electrical modalities like electric stim with heat or therapeutic ultrasound for a more complete and thorough treatment. Therefore, only the spinal adjustment portion of your visit will be reimbursable by Medicare. Most patients find they get better much faster by having this extra care and therefore need fewer visits. If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding a visit and medicare coverage, please contact us here.
A chiropractic adjustment, also known as manual manipulation, is a common therapeutic treatment for neuromusculoskeletal pain. During an adjustment a chiropractor will apply manual manipulation to the vertebrae or joints that have abnormal movement patterns or alignment contributing to issues with movement, pain, and nerve irritations. A chiropractic treatment typically also consists of additional therapies or techniques such as manual therapy/myofascial release/massage/, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (ie. Graston, )balance training, corrective exercises, or kinesiology taping.
